TRIO’s services include individualized academic coaching, advising, educational workshops, financial literacy, provision of aid, various cultural activities, career and graduate school assistance, as well as other academic resources. The partnership with TRIBE will further expand TRIO SSS’s ability to provide opportunities and services to students.
About the Partnership
The partnership is in line with TRIBE’s strategic priority to strengthen team capacity and support the personal development of young students. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience and work in different roles to develop their personal and technical skills, as well as contribute to TRIBE’s mission.

Other roles include Multimedia and Marketing. Through this collaboration, TRIO SSS will be responsible for the recruitment of students with potential to intern during the academic year and summer period while TRIBE will facilitate their personal development.
From the Partners
Both institutions share excitement over the new partnership. The Director of TRIO SSS, Christina Dilkes, states, “The partnership between TRIO SSS and TRIBE currently allows TRIO SSS to place interns [with] TRIBE, but we hope that the partnership expands to the entire Bloomfield College community and to allow students from both [institutions] to travel to the other. TRIO SSS believes in TRIBE’s mission, which aligns with the tenets of the SSS grant, and excitedly awaits the growing collaboration”.
Wainright Acquoi, CEO and Co-founder of TRIBE commented, “We are excited to partner with TRIO SSS to recruit some of the best talents from Bloomfield College to support our work and to also create an opportunity through which we can support the personal growth of students who believe in and align with our mission”.

This partnership signifies a major step for TRIBE and the ways in which we can support the personal development of young students,” added Demitria Wack, TRIBE’s Development Fellow who has been leading the strategic partnership outreach.
